A Decade And A Year Of EXCELLENCE =)

There's plenty of great "batchmates chismax" percolating this time of the year.




One will be awarded as Promising Alumna 2008.
Nine of our batchmates are gettin' married soon. (Hahaha! Di ako kasali dun!=)
Seven are resigning from their jobs.
Eleven are venturing into new businesses.


Hmmm, who are they? I won't reveal... yet! =)


Luckily, do you know that our Alumni Homecoming is set on the 24th of August (SMCL's 33rd Anniversary) at St. Thedore Hall? (Yes, that was the fully air conditioned gym! Fast Fact: Tayo po ang unang grumaduate dun!=)


Would it be just another reunion? Oh, you think you've got it all figured out? Don't be too sure, SMCL 97! =)


A DECADE AND ONE OF EXCELLENCE. Eleven years after high school graduation, do you feel inspired and lively still? As for me, I feel alive when my emotions are in action! I feel more creative when I have the true blue support in motion. So, please bear as I reveal my 9 Tips + 7 Actions towards the sweetest REUNION ever!


Tip#1: Whether you became the most sensational dude in town or just a plain Joe/ Jane, you can always exude a laid-back, superstar vibe in SMCL's REUNION (aka THE SUPER, ALL-LEVEL & THE GRANDEST=)

ACTION#1: Buy your tickets now from the amorous Raquel, our very own "Amor Powers". Ask for discounts from her! Hehehe!=)

Tip#2: Re-experience genuine friendship. And let high school passions fill your heart and soul.

ACTION#2: Have a blast with your true friends in HS! =) (In lieu with this, I am humbly asking ALL the 97 Alums to send in humorous high school stories, greetings or pictures. Send it on/before August 14 to guia.deleon@yahoo.com. Siyempre, pwede rin

Tip#4: Kindly text 09163763718 for your awesome reunion ideas! The AVP's suggested by Imelda dear. Ooops! Dapat well-represented ang batch kaya J-O-I-N ka na. Believe me, you are not "others" unless you believe so. I may not be able to mention YOUR NAME in this post, but you surely are IN! =)

ACTION#4: Our batch is approx 500 students. Just don't forget to introduce thyself... and your
section pls. =)

Tip#5: You can lie about your age. But you can never disown your batch. Period.

ACTION#5: Let us all learn to grow old gracefully. Ask our lovely muses: Juliet, Ane, Olive & Guia (Hala! Sali na naman! Hehehe! =) I mean, Relette, Eveleth, Cynthia, Jas... oo na! Rica Oro, kasali ka na! Peace, hehehe! =)

Tip#6: Feel better after realizing you are not the only one who has been married, "nakukunsumisyon sa mga anak o/at asawa", separated or still single.

ACTION#6: Your destiny could be revealed on that day. Uyyy! =)

Tip#7: Feel the nostalgia but still, fully appreciate your presence. =)

ACTION#7: Laugh about
your most embarrassing situations in the school. Gross? Nope. Grow instead.=)

Tip#8: Accordingly, studies show that those who were initially hesitant about attending their reunions discover that it was the event they wouldn't have missed! So, be there. =)



Tip #9: Decide. Sit on a comfy chair. Focus. Are you goin' to miss out the FUN? So, please, please attend. =)

(Note: I sure regret my absence in the UP Kappa Phi reunion last Sat. I prioritized my work and truly missed out the fun. Whoa! =(

By the bye, I hope you'll take one more step CLOSER to your roots, SMCL 1997. After all, our teachers and classmates are our second "home sweet home."
